A Magical Place on the Mendocino Coast
Spirit Camp is nestled in the enchanting redwoods on the Mendocino coast of Northern California, unceded territory of the Central & Northern Pomo people.
We’re a beautiful 2-3 hour drive North of the San Francisco Bay Area, and 12 minutes South of the town of Mendocino with organic grocery stores, shops, and restaurants.
Only a mile inland from the Pacific Ocean, enjoy bluff-lined beaches, hike through redwoods, river canoe, and ocean kayak within minutes from camp.

My beloved and I have softly returned home after the most magical retreat on this sacred land. It felt like a dream to be held in sacred matrimony there. The love and intention that has been woven throughout the land is deeply felt. We felt lovingly held in every space. We wrote our vows in the Sanctuary. The Lodge was perfect for our reception. The kitchen was perfect. My best friend baked our wedding cake while my mother and aunt cooked. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you could possibly need. Julian was so supportive in the weaving of our dream wedding ceremony. We are so grateful for you Julian.

Wow this place is so magical!! Julian and Nathaniel made this beautiful oasis and are constantly filling it with love and care and It was truely felt! Thank you for running around and making fires for us to stay warm and adding heaters to the rooms when needed!
The rooms were all beautiful, luxurious and cosy! The lodge was so amazing, I loved the touch of the table already being decorated with candles and flowers when I got there and especially loved the disco ball!! That was amazing to dance under at night, it was like a galaxy! The sanctuary is truly a dream and we all felt the magic! The whole centre automatically calms you from the moment you step out of your car! I will definitely be back for more lovely, magical and relaxing times!

Organizing was a Breeze

We celebrated my partner's birthday at this fantastic venue, hosting 30 guests for a weekend of festivities. Organizing the event was a breeze, thanks in large part to Julian's exceptional support.
Julian was so collaborative on how to make the most of the space. His recommendation of kayaking resulted in the best kayaking experience that everyone enjoyed. Julian expertly led a sound bath for 25+ guests, showcasing mastery over the instruments.
Faced with a last-minute need for a caterer, Julian provided multiple recs and assisted in securing an amazing chef to prepare a meal for our large group. Similarly, he helped orchestrate a live music performance as a last-minute surprise for my partner.
As for the venue itself, Julian & Nathaniel have crafted a haven - every aspect of the space is designed for convenience, down to the spotless, heated cabins & restrooms. Julian's wealth of local knowledge & his commitment to guest satisfaction make him an incredible host. We can't wait to return!

An Absolute GEM! Photos Don't Do It Justice

I just hosted a retreat at Spirit Camp, and words cannot describe how much we all enjoyed our time! Spirit Camp is an absolute GEM!
Just a few minutes drive to Oceans edge, yet nestled in the woods amongst the beautiful redwood trees. The property is absolutely stunning! I was blown away by the thoughtfulness of every detail from the landscape, to the cabins, to the common gathering spaces--the Lodge and the Sanctuary--swoon!
Everyone rested cozy and comfortably, including those camping in tents. The industrial kitchen met all of our caterers needs, and then some! And the shared bathroom was such a pleasant experience—clean, considerate and bigger than I expected. In fact, all of the spaces were larger than I imagined they'd be based on the photos. The photos are all beautiful, but they don't do Spirit Camp justice.
Julian and Nathanial are magical, inspiring stewards of this precious land. Thank you, thank you! We'll be back so soon for our next retreat!

Elevated Summer Camp!

BLOWN AWAY. My partner and I booked the space for our small wedding and it was everything and more. We organized a Sound bath meditation with Julian that started our whole trip off on the right foot. He put so much love into the experience.
The pictures can’t even capture the true beauty of the space. All the cabins, the lodge, and the sanctuary have so many beautiful details - from incense or candles to high quality sheets and other beautiful decor. The experience was elevated summer camp!
The lodge has an awesome sound system, plenty of cozy seating, great games, and a disco ball that turns the whole affair into a great event space. Julian was willing to be as involved or removed from our event as we liked. He was a fantastic host and his dog Disco was such a charmer as well!
Our guests were completely blown away and so were we. I can’t wait to return for our five or ten year anniversary and see how the space continues to grow.
